EPD PROCEDURES (COMMANDS)

EPD procedures are organized into three sections:

Common — Module- and display-oriented commands for setup and management. These are used in both buffered and bufferless mode.

Buffered — Commands that control and select the frame buffer, whether internal MCU RAM or external SRAM. Since this library includes a virtualization layer that translates shapes and fonts from the TFT library so they can be printed to an EPD display, several commands in this section exist specifically to support that translation.

No Buffer — Font and shape commands purpose-built to work directly against the EPD's GRAM.
These account for the GRAM's byte/bit-oriented, write-only architecture, and as a result can't offer the same level of control as buffered mode — some tradeoffs are unavoidable given those hardware constraints.
