Virtually all low-cost, small-format TFT modules use resistive touch screens rather than capacitive ones. Currently, the library supports only resistive touch controllers, primarily the widely used XPT2046 and its analog counterpart, the ADS7843.

If affordable TFT modules with capacitive touch screens become available in the future, drivers for those devices may be added.
